One of the main areas of feedback from the local questionnaire was to establish a food offering at the Badger; catering for early evening, day time and Sunday meals. We have spent weeks sorting out the kitchen area and ensuring it is up to a very high standard and that it complies with regulations.... we are now interviewing for the right chef to cook in our amazing Kitchen to produce good value, fresh, home cooked meals. If you want to find our more, please look at the A-boards outside the pub or pop in and speak to us. We hope to announce our menu soon.
Over the past few Sunday we have been making use of the kitchen to cater for a number of christenings, these have gone down extremely well. We have a free-to-hire function room available for bookings (contact Nige and Jayne) and we can cater for the events.
Last Friday was our Macmillan Coffee Morning - a huge, massive thank you to all the people that turned out, baked cakes and donated to this well deserved cause. The event raised £259 for Macmillan, we cannot thank you enough for your support.
Real Ale continues as we rotate the Guest Beers that we will be serving...Batemans XB will be on from Thursday 16th October, and we aim to have different ones on each fortnight, as well as a plentiful, bottled collection of Ales.
Wednesday night will be free Pool Table night, so if you fancy getting out of the house and practicing your pool, then please come and join us - it's free!
Finally, as the nights draw in, we are looking to continue with our entertainments and during the chillier months we aim to host more music events and Theme Nights, recently we had a local band called Blend play for us, and they were brilliant. Please watch this space and the A-boards outside for more information and also our plans for Hallowe'en on Friday 31st October!
